About Fossen
Technology that's invisible until you need it.
Fossen is a family-owned home technology integrator in South Orange County. We design and install automation, audio, cinema, networking, surveillance, and the infrastructure underneath it all, working alongside architects, builders, and designers from the first conversation to final handoff.

From the owner
Woven into the architecture, not bolted on after.
I started Fossen because I kept seeing the same thing on job sites: beautiful homes with technology that was clearly an afterthought. A router in a closet, speakers wherever there happened to be wall, a theater designed after the drywall was up. The systems worked, sort of, and the owners had learned to live with them.
We do it the other way around. Every system we design is a collaboration between engineering discipline and design intent. We get involved early, while the plans are still changing, and we draw the infrastructure alongside the electrical set. Rack location, pathways, speaker placement, network coverage: all of it is decided on paper, where changes are cheap, and walked at rough-in before the walls close.
The same four phases run on every project, residential or commercial: discovery and requirements, infrastructure design and documentation, construction coordination, then deployment and commissioning. It's not complicated. It just requires caring about the part of the job nobody sees.
We're a family-owned company and we intend to stay that way. When you call, you reach the people who designed your system. If something here sounds like the project you're planning, I'd like to hear about it.

How we work
A process built for precision.
Design-led
We define system scope, usage expectations, and performance requirements early in the design phase, with your architect, builder, and designer in the room. Clear alignment at the beginning prevents costly revisions later.
Infrastructure first
Low-voltage plans, rack layouts, pathway strategy, and network architecture are engineered before construction progresses. Nothing is improvised at rough-in.
Family owned, locally run
Based in Rancho Mission Viejo and working across South Orange County. Owner-operated, independent, and staffed by people who live where the work happens. The same team is here when you want to add a zone next year.
Service that continues
Remote monitoring, software updates, and regular check-ups keep the system performing for years. Most issues are fixed before you notice them.
Trusted in homes across South Orange County
