Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Fossen website and any services we provide. By using our site or submitting a contact form, you agree to these terms.

1. What we do

Fossen designs, installs, and services audio-visual systems, smart home automation, TV mounting, networking, security, and related technology in Los Angeles. Information on this site is for general reference, final scope, pricing, and timeline are agreed in a written proposal prior to any work.

2. Consultation requests and site visits

Consultations are free and non-binding until we issue a written proposal. A site visit is typically required for anything beyond a basic TV mount. No work begins without your written approval of the proposal and scope.

3. Pricing and payment

All pricing is provided in written proposals specific to your project. Unless otherwise stated, proposals are valid for 30 days. A deposit is typically required before we order materials. Balance is due on completion.

4. Cancellations and changes

You may cancel a scheduled installation with 48 hours notice at no cost. Cancellations with less notice may incur a trip charge for the technician's allocated time. Scope changes after approval are priced separately and agreed before work continues.

5. Warranty

We warrant our labor for one year from the date of installation. Manufacturer warranties on equipment apply per each brand's policy and are passed through to you. We'll help you navigate any warranty claim on equipment we installed, at no charge during the labor warranty period.

6. SMS program and email communications

Program. The Fossen Audio SMS program sends appointment and project updates and replies to your inquiry. You join only by ticking the optional SMS consent box on one of our website forms. Consent is not a condition of purchase, and you can still submit a form without it.

Frequency and cost. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Opt out and help. Reply STOP to any message to opt out; we will confirm and send no further texts unless you opt in again (reply START). Reply HELP for help, or contact us at (949) 807-0874 or jason@fossenaudio.com.

Privacy. Mobile numbers and SMS opt-in data are not sold or shared with third parties for marketing. See our Privacy Policy.

Email. If you give us your email, we may email you about your inquiry, appointments and your project. Reply "unsubscribe" to stop.

7. AI chat assistant

Our site includes Ava, an AI chat assistant. Ava is provided for convenience and general information only. Ava is not authorized to commit Fossen to pricing, warranty terms, scheduling, or scope. All such commitments require a written proposal or scheduled appointment confirmed by our team directly.

8. Intellectual property

All content on this site, including text, photography, brand marks, and design, is the property of Fossen or licensed for our use. You may not copy, redistribute, or use our content for commercial purposes without written permission.

9. Your conduct

You agree not to:

• Submit false or misleading information through our forms or chat
• Use the chat concierge to generate abusive, unlawful, or spam content
• Attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our systems
• Scrape or mass-download site content

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fossen's liability for any claim related to your use of this website is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim, or $100, whichever is greater. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Liability for installed services is governed by our written project agreement, not these website terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of CA, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts with jurisdiction over Rancho Mission Viejo, CA.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The effective date at the top reflects the most recent version. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
