Nestled into the structural beams of this recent build-out in Dana Point, Fossen installed two variations of Sonance speaker to fit the sleek aesthetic of the new space.
Designing around the architecture
The build-out exposed its beams on purpose, so speakers could not simply be surface mounted wherever coverage was easiest. We worked from the framing plan to place each speaker where the structure would carry it cleanly, and chose two Sonance form factors so the ceiling reads as one considered design rather than a row of hardware.
Coverage first
Speaker count and placement were set by the seating plan, not the room's footprint, so volume feels consistent from the bar to the back tables. Zones let the operator run the space differently for a quiet lunch and a full house.
Why it works
Guests notice the sound and not the speakers. That is the standard for every Fossen hospitality install.
